York Region Arts Announcement
Many came out to a Celebration of the Arts where the exciting announcement was made of the inaugural York Region Chairman's Dinner for the Arts, coming up on May 7th 2009 at Le Parc Conference and Banquet Centre in Markham. The reception included performances from young talent of Ovation! Performing Arts Academy, sitar player Anwar Khurshid along with members of the Resurgence Theatre Company and York Symphony Orchestra who were on hand. With the forthcoming fundraising dinner and the newly formed York Region Arts Council, York Region will surely thrive as an arts and cultural centre.
