2008 July > Harrogate Hills Horse Show

On Sunday May 25th some of York Regions’ finest young equestrians turned out to compete in the Harrogate Hills in-house horse show. The show, open to all students of the Harrogate Hills Riding School, was a chance for the riders to get used to the pressures of a horse show while in the familiar territory of the riding school setting. Under judge Cathy McEwin’s watchful eye the riders were put through their paces, showing the crowd everything they had learned during their weekly lessons. Ribbons were awarded to 8th place and there were smiles all around as the riders celebrated their successes. During the show, a barbeque was available for the hungry athletes and their entourage. The spring shows signal a change of focus for the younger riders as they now turn their attention to summer camp.
