2008 July > Leah Hans Cuts Hair For Cancer!

On June 7th, 10 year old Leah Hans cut her hair for cancer at Beaners Fun Cuts For Kids (located at 1100 Davis Drive). Leah's hair will be donated to Angel Hair For Kids and will be used to make a wig for a Canadian child with cancer or severe burns. Leah also began a fundraiser named "Fundraiser for Childhood Cancer" which is registered with the Newmarket Office of the Canadian Cancer Society and through their Community Partnerships Program. Leah has approached numerous family members, friends and local businesses to raise money for this cause, and all money raised will stay in our community to help victims of childhood cancer. During the 6 weeks of her campaign leading up to her haircut, Leah Hans has raised over $3500.00 thanks to the generosity of many people. For more information visit www.cancer.ca.
