2008 July > Nin Os Kom Tin Hits Fairy Lake The 4th annual Nin Os Kom Tin Aboriginal Celebration took over Fairy Lake last month for a day of traditional ceremonies, art, food, crafts and much more. There was a huge turnout and the crowd was awed by the different performances of song and dance accompanied by a drum circle. The costumes were stunning, and it was a fantastic opportunity for people to learn more about Aboriginal culture. Nin Os Kom Tin is the first off reserve Aboriginal group in York Region and connects people from similar backgrounds and is a great way for everyone to stay in touch with their roots.
