Mayor Tony Van Bynen's annual Charity Golf Tournament helped a terrific cause this year - the York Region Food Network. In honour of National Hunger Awareness Day, the Golf Committee presented a $5,000 cheque to the Food Network to support the Back-To-School Backpack Program, a new initiative in York to help ensure absolutely everyone is properly equipped for the new school year.
