2007 May > Playwrights Festival The Playwrights of Spring has began their new Play Festival thanks to a great donation from the Trillium Foundation. The trio of performances include: Ron Fromstein, for his script B-sides & Offroads (Tales from the TransCanada); Jeff Pearce’s, Defenders of Gravity, where the best minds in science fiction get together to drink, flirt, spill secrets and think big; And lastly, Bikini Atoll, by Niall O’Reilly, a play where we find out that the spirits under Elliott Lake are about to have company. The Opening Night Gala, held at the Aurora Theatre, featured live Jazz, wine, finger foods and a silent auction. The gala was a great success and was followed by a fantastic performance.
